The state of one particle will instantly affect the state of the other, even without any interaction between them. This phenomenon was called “spooky action at a distance” by Einstein.

Despite its mystery, quantum physics has incredibly important practical applications. From lasers, transistors, computer chips to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines, all rely on the principles of quantum physics. Today, people are researching the application of quantum physics in the field of quantum computing, promising a revolution in information processing capabilities.
